A small bone insert on the handle has come loose but is included. The instrument is housed in its fitted mahogany case with brass side handles, dovetailed corners, and keyhole escutcheon. A brass-framed National Physical Laboratory Certificate of Examination, Class A, is mounted inside the lid, dated July 1920 and signed by Director J.E. Petavel. The case lid has a brass plate inset on the top.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe sextant has not been evaluated for completeness or functionality and is offered as found.
