Boarded photograph of the Cheshire County Courthouse in Keene, New Hampshire, facing Central Square. Also visible are the storefronts of Bullard & Shedd Drugstore, Tildens, and F.E. Howe, Photographer. Paper label on verso reads “B.H. Whitehouse Photographer, Keene, N.H.” with a handwritten note dated 1914 stating “fresh asphalt paving,” likely explaining the glossy appearance of the street. Another known example of this image has been described as showing a flood, but the period annotation strongly suggests the sheen is due to new paving. Surface wear and soiling to mount and image.

Parking
- Handicap parking is in the lot and behind the building.
- The other spaces in the lot are first come, first served — but please leave them free for loading and unloading where you can.
- There is plenty of on-street parking, both sides of the street.
