This is an antique double 1/9th plate tintype photograph featuring two portrait subjects in a full split leatherette union case. The left compartment contains a tintype of a woman wearing a dark dress with light-colored polka dots and a beaded necklace. The right compartment contains a tintype of an older man with white hair wearing dark clothing. Both tintypes are held in brass mats with decorative floral and scroll patterns. The leatherette case features an embossed decorative pattern on the exterior cover. The case has split along the spine and has been repaired with modern fabric tape.
