Antique English sterling silver cigarette case with an all-over engine-turned barleycorn pattern on both exterior faces. The front cover features an engraved "P S" monogram within a rectangular cartouche at the upper left corner. The interior is gilt-washed on both sides with a spring-loaded retaining bar on the lower half.

The interior bears a full set of British hallmarks including a lion passant confirming sterling silver purity, a maker's mark, an assay office mark, and a date letter. The rim is stamped "Nice" and "Importe D'Angleterre" ("Imported from England"), indicating the case was made in England and exported for sale in France.

The case shows tarnish and surface wear consistent with age and use. The hinge and clasp function properly.

This lot is guaranteed to meet or exceed the stated purity. If it does not, the buyer is entitled to a full refund upon return of the merchandise.
