Antique handwritten German-language personal journal inscribed to Otto Vorchheimer of Würzburg, Germany, with an address of Bahnhofstrasse 1/2. The journal spans approximately 1928 to 1931, with dated entries including January 7, 1930, November 4, 1930, January 13 and 16, 1931, and a reference to August 3, 1928 within the text. The volume is composed of three notebooks joined together to form a single bound manuscript, written in German cursive script on graph paper.
Entries include personal diary reflections, philosophical observations, narrative accounts, and literary quotations. One entry headed "Der Metallarbeiter" ("The Metal Worker") recounts a workplace accident involving a heavy iron block. Another entry references Wilhelm von Kügelgen and the Battle of Waterloo in a discussion of self-discipline and achievement. The journal includes at least one pencil sketch of a man seated at a table with a wine glass, captioned "Weinkeller" ("Wine Cellar") and dated 4.11.30.
The black cloth covers show heavy wear with surface loss, scuffing, and edge wear throughout. The binding remains intact. Pages show age toning.
