Absentee bids let you place your maximum bid on an item before the live auction begins. During the live show, we’ll continue bidding on your behalf up to your max bid — just like leaving a bid with a traditional auctioneer.
When you place an absentee bid, the system sets the current bid conservatively — just enough to keep you in the lead without revealing your full amount.
The current bid shown on each lot reflects all confirmed absentee bids and updates automatically as new bids come in.
When the live auction starts, bidding will begin at the current bid. The auctioneer will continue bidding on behalf of absentee bidders up to their max bids.
Because absentee bids can arrive seconds apart, the current bid you see may not always include bids still being processed. Refresh the page for the most up-to-date information.

Lot 001 - Antique Pressed Tin Halloween Jack-O-Lantern Pumpkin Parade Lantern on Bamboo Stick with Interior Candle Cup, Attributed to Toledo Metal Sign Company, Toledo, Ohio, Circa 1905-1910, 6-1/2" W
Antique pressed tin Jack-O-Lantern parade lantern on a bamboo stick, attributed to the Toledo Metal Sign Company of Toledo, Ohio, circa 1905-1910. The lantern is constructed from two pressed halves joined at the equator, with cut-out facial features, a top finial, and an interior candle cup. The bamboo stick is secured to the lantern base by a coiled metal mount that engages a purpose-notched rectangular cutout near the top of the stick. The notch shows aged patina on the cut surfaces consistent with the rest of the bamboo. May have originally had translucent inserts behind the cut-out features, which are missing.
The lantern retains its original orange painted surface with significant paint loss throughout, exposing dark oxidation and bare metal beneath. Surface rust is present across both halves. The bamboo stick is intact with age-consistent wear and patina.
