This is a police arrest card featuring a mounted photograph depicting Chas. Garfield Brown in profile and frontal views. The card includes Bertillon measurements taken at Portland, Maine, on August 26, 1910, by Haskell. Brown is listed as age 19 years, born in Advocate Harbor, Nova Scotia, with gray eyes, dark brown hair, medium complexion, weight of 134 pounds, and slender build. The reverse bears printed headings for the Somersworth, New Hampshire Police Department, crossed out with Portland Maine written above it, file number 506. His occupation is listed as laborer, criminal occupation as thief. Brown was arrested for breaking, entering, and larceny in Bath, Maine, appeared in Police Court before Judge Hill, and was delivered to Bath officers. Officers listed include Capt. Thompson.
