Absentee bids let you place your maximum bid on an item before the live auction begins. During the live show, we’ll continue bidding on your behalf up to your max bid — just like leaving a bid with a traditional auctioneer.
When you place an absentee bid, the system sets the current bid conservatively — just enough to keep you in the lead without revealing your full amount.
The current bid shown on each lot reflects all confirmed absentee bids and updates automatically as new bids come in.
When the live auction starts, bidding will begin at the current bid. The auctioneer will continue bidding on behalf of absentee bidders up to their max bids.
Because absentee bids can arrive seconds apart, the current bid you see may not always include bids still being processed. Refresh the page for the most up-to-date information.

Antique snapshot photo album gifted to Zella from her mother on Christmas 1916, containing more than 1,750 photographs—one of the most extensive albums we have ever offered. The album documents an extraordinary range of subjects from the Midwest and Western states between 1916 and 1920, including extensive scenes from California and Colorado, particularly Telluride and Greeley.
Content includes numerous agricultural and farm-life photographs showing horses, livestock, pigs, chickens, and field work; many images of cats and dogs; mountain, river, and outdoor landscapes; downtown areas, parades, buildings, and small towns; and coastal scenes with the Pacific Ocean and boats. Additional highlights include early automobiles, a small number of early biplane photographs, trains, images of World War One soldiers, and shots of an oil well.
Wear consistent with age, but album remains a remarkably rich and comprehensive visual record of early 20th century American life.
