This is a grouping of eight police arrest and identification cards, each featuring printed photographs with handwritten and printed entries. The cards include Bertillon-style measurement fields. Named subjects include Peter Ward, alias "The Artful Dodger," arrested September 11, 1910, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, for burglary, with extensive aliases and criminal record notations referencing cities including Altoona, Pennsylvania, Louisville, Kentucky, St. Louis, San Diego, California, Cleveland, Ohio, and Chicago, Illinois; Ray Majors, identified as a bank robber, with a clipping from the Journal of the American Bankers Association, May 1920 issue; Charles R. Harvey, arrested October 13, 1916, by the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Police Department for bunco; and Leon Melon, born in France, issued by the Chicago, Illinois Department of Police, Bureau of Identification, noted for burglary, with a criminal record spanning multiple states.
