Absentee bids let you place your maximum bid on an item before the live auction begins. During the live show, we’ll continue bidding on your behalf up to your max bid — just like leaving a bid with a traditional auctioneer.
When you place an absentee bid, the system sets the current bid conservatively — just enough to keep you in the lead without revealing your full amount.
The current bid shown on each lot reflects all confirmed absentee bids and updates automatically as new bids come in.
When the live auction starts, bidding will begin at the current bid. The auctioneer will continue bidding on behalf of absentee bidders up to their max bids.
Because absentee bids can arrive seconds apart, the current bid you see may not always include bids still being processed. Refresh the page for the most up-to-date information.

Lot 098 - Grouping of Five Antique and Vintage Board-Mounted Photographs Including Boy Holding a Box Camera, Two Men in Uniform, Family Eating Watermelon, and Dog Looking Out a Window, One Photographed by Rogers, New Haven, Connecticut
Grouping of five antique and vintage board-mounted photographs. Included is a studio portrait of a man in uniform with a badge and cap, mounted on card with embossed decorative border, photographed by Rogers, New Haven, Connecticut; a photograph of a dog with its paws on a windowsill looking outside, mounted within a gray inner mat; a circular photo of a man in a long coat and cap standing in front of a multi-story building; a photograph of a family group eating watermelon outdoors, mounted on gray card with embossed border; and a faded oval-opening board-mounted photograph of a boy in a cap and knickers holding a box camera.
The photographs show varying condition with the circular snapshot exhibiting staining, creasing, and edge wear to the card mount, and the boy with box camera photograph significantly faded. The remaining photographs are in overall stable condition with toning and light soiling. Display stands are not included.
