Absentee bids let you place your maximum bid on an item before the live auction begins. During the live show, we’ll continue bidding on your behalf up to your max bid — just like leaving a bid with a traditional auctioneer.
When you place an absentee bid, the system sets the current bid conservatively — just enough to keep you in the lead without revealing your full amount.
The current bid shown on each lot reflects all confirmed absentee bids and updates automatically as new bids come in.
When the live auction starts, bidding will begin at the current bid. The auctioneer will continue bidding on behalf of absentee bidders up to their max bids.
Because absentee bids can arrive seconds apart, the current bid you see may not always include bids still being processed. Refresh the page for the most up-to-date information.

Lot 092 - Grouping of Five Antique Board-Mounted Photographs Including Sunken Paddle Wheel Steamboat Inscribed "Sunk on Currier Rock 1903," German Christmas Pyramid, and Child with Taxidermy Bird by Nicholas, Bristol, New Hampshire
Grouping of five antique board-mounted photographs. The lot includes a photograph of a partially submerged paddle wheel steamboat, inscribed in pencil on verso "Sunk on Currier Rock 1903"; a photograph of a multi-tiered German Christmas pyramid with carved figures and candle holders, topped with a fan blade, displayed on a cloth-covered table and presented in a gray board folder; and a cabinet card photograph of a young child standing beside a table with a mounted taxidermy bird, photographed by Nicholas, Bristol, New Hampshire.
The remaining two photographs depict two girls posed outdoors with their friend playing dead on a plank, and a young man flanked by two young women in hats reading a document together outdoors.
The photographs show toning and some edge wear to the boards. The steamboat photograph board has bumped corners. Display stands are not included.
