A grouping of four antique funerary items. Three are identical black-ground memorial cards printed in gold, each reading "In Loving Remembrance of Mary E. Thompson, Died June 29, 1892," at age 47 years, eight months, and one day, and bearing the header "Whom the Lord Loveth He Chasteneth." The design incorporates a central vignette of a Holy Bible with floral and wheat motifs, a verse beginning "There is no death! What seems so is transition," and a mourning poem beginning "A precious one from us has gone." The reverse of each card is printed: "Geo. Mitchell, Manufacturer of Fine Memorial Cards and Mourning Goods, Greenfield, Indiana. All our Designs are Copyrighted." The cards show light edge and corner wear.

The fourth item is a board-mounted photograph depicting an interior funeral flower display, with multiple floral wreaths and arrangements on stands and a central table, a draped backdrop visible behind. The photograph is lifting from the board on its sides. The relationship between the photograph and the memorial cards is not established. The display stand visible in photographs is not included. Item dimensions are of board-mounted photo.
