Absentee bids let you place your maximum bid on an item before the live auction begins. During the live show, we’ll continue bidding on your behalf up to your max bid — just like leaving a bid with a traditional auctioneer.
When you place an absentee bid, the system sets the current bid conservatively — just enough to keep you in the lead without revealing your full amount.
The current bid shown on each lot reflects all confirmed absentee bids and updates automatically as new bids come in.
When the live auction starts, bidding will begin at the current bid. The auctioneer will continue bidding on behalf of absentee bidders up to their max bids.
Because absentee bids can arrive seconds apart, the current bid you see may not always include bids still being processed. Refresh the page for the most up-to-date information.

Lot 134 - Grouping of Four Antique Masonic and Knights Templar Ribbon Medals Including Washington No. 4 K.T. Newport, Rhode Island, Sacramento No. 2 Commandery, and Grand Encampment K.T. U.S.A. Hugh Mccurdy Grand Master
A grouping of four antique Masonic and Knights Templar ribbon medals.
The first is a Knights Templar medal with a shield-shaped top badge marked "Washington No. 4, K.T." and "Newport, R.I." with a beehive motif flanked by foliage. A black and white silk ribbon suspends an oval pendant with an enameled cross and crown device. The enamel shows a small chip. The ribbon is worn and fraying.
The second is a Knights Templar Commandery medal with a bar pin flanked by cross pattee devices with red enamel inlay. A black and white ribbon supports a mounted knight on horseback figure, below which hangs a Maltese cross pendant marked "Sacramento," "No.," "2," and "Commandery," with a red enamel cross at center. The ribbon shows soiling and wear.
The third is a Masonic dedication medal in the form of a square and compass, with a central circular medallion depicting a Masonic temple building. Text around the border references Manchester and a dedication date in October of the 1890s. A green silk ribbon is attached at the top. The ribbon is heavily worn and deteriorated, and the medal shows overall tarnish.
The fourth is a Grand Encampment Knights Templar medal with a top bar featuring crossed swords and a banner reading "In Hoc Signo Vinces." An orange and black ribbon suspends a large round medallion reading "Grand Encampment, K.T. U.S.A." and "Hugh McCurdy, Grand Master," with a relief portrait bust in profile. The medal shows overall patina.
