Absentee bids let you place your maximum bid on an item before the live auction begins. During the live show, we’ll continue bidding on your behalf up to your max bid — just like leaving a bid with a traditional auctioneer.
When you place an absentee bid, the system sets the current bid conservatively — just enough to keep you in the lead without revealing your full amount.
The current bid shown on each lot reflects all confirmed absentee bids and updates automatically as new bids come in.
When the live auction starts, bidding will begin at the current bid. The auctioneer will continue bidding on behalf of absentee bidders up to their max bids.
Because absentee bids can arrive seconds apart, the current bid you see may not always include bids still being processed. Refresh the page for the most up-to-date information.

Lot 094 - Grouping of Four Antique Photographs and Print Including Embossed Photo Display with Five Portraits, Women Playing Combs with Manuscript Poem Verso, Boy in Native American Costume, and Little Red Riding Hood Engraving
Grouping of four antique items comprising photographs and a print. The lot includes a black embossed photo display card with Art Nouveau-style floral and windmill motifs, featuring five arched portrait windows containing small photographs of young women in hats and period dress. A board-mounted photograph depicts three women seated on a porch playing combs; the verso bears a manuscript poem titled "Harriet, Florence, & Liza," signed by Job Lane, referencing the subjects' musical abilities and mentioning "two Ragamon Street." A board-mounted photograph of a young boy posed in a fringed Native American costume holding a revolver is mounted on a dark card with a photographer's imprint below the image. An antique engraving print on paper depicts the Little Red Riding Hood fairy tale scene with the wolf in grandmother's bed.
The photo display card shows edge wear and a surface scratch. The porch photograph exhibits fading and toning with corner wear to the mount. The Native American costume photograph shows foxing. The Little Red Riding Hood print has staining, surface loss, and toning. Display stands are not included.
