Absentee bids let you place your maximum bid on an item before the live auction begins. During the live show, we’ll continue bidding on your behalf up to your max bid — just like leaving a bid with a traditional auctioneer.
When you place an absentee bid, the system sets the current bid conservatively — just enough to keep you in the lead without revealing your full amount.
The current bid shown on each lot reflects all confirmed absentee bids and updates automatically as new bids come in.
When the live auction starts, bidding will begin at the current bid. The auctioneer will continue bidding on behalf of absentee bidders up to their max bids.
Because absentee bids can arrive seconds apart, the current bid you see may not always include bids still being processed. Refresh the page for the most up-to-date information.

Lot 157 - Grouping of Four Vintage Advertising Items Including Edison Mazda Lamps Automotive Bulb Tin, Weldtite Self Vulcanising Cycle Repair Outfit Tin, Movielets Film Strip Tin, and Esso Tiger Keychain
Grouping of four vintage advertising items. The Edison Mazda Lamps tin is yellow and white with blue lettering reading "For your PROTECTION always carry EDISON MAZDA LAMPS for your car!" The tin is empty and shows graphic loss and surface wear to the lid and edges.
The Weldtite Self Vulcanising Cycle Repair Outfit tin is mint green with printed lid text and marked "British Made." The interior lid is printed with repair instructions and credited to C.B. Raggs Limited, Hendon, London. The tin retains partial contents including patches, chalk, and a valve component.
The Movielets tin is a small black hinged-lid tin marked "Movielets Trade Mark" and contains short strips of film. The Esso tiger keychain is a cast metal tiger head on a chain with a split ring, found inside the Edison Mazda tin. All items show general wear consistent with age and use.
