Pair of antique pyrography decorated wooden boxes with distinct forms and decorative motifs. The rectangular box features an elaborate design of flowers and foliage burned into the wood against a stippled background, with brass hinges and clasp closure. Opening to reveal a pink fabric-lined interior with an interior lid scene depicting six Dutch figures in traditional costume holding hands in a line, with trees flanking the composition. The bottom bears the pyrography signature "C.O.D. 1904."

The round bentwood box displays a rose design on the lid surrounded by stippled texture. The interior lid bears the stamped inscription "Mount Washington Box."

Condition shows age-related wear. The rectangular box's pink fabric interior lining is torn and deteriorated in multiple areas. The round box exhibits losses to the wood surface, and general surface wear throughout.
