Two carved and painted wooden novelty figures. The first is a Japanese barrel-form animated toy "BEER" in English and "ビール" in Japanese, with a figure in a top hat that pops up when the mechanism is operated. The second is a carved wooden figure of a man in a hat and vest with an open mouth, mounted on a natural wood slice base.

Both show general wear consistent with age, including surface scuffing, paint loss, and darkening of the wood. Chips to the beer barrel man's hat.
