Absentee bids let you place your maximum bid on an item before the live auction begins. During the live show, we’ll continue bidding on your behalf up to your max bid — just like leaving a bid with a traditional auctioneer.
When you place an absentee bid, the system sets the current bid conservatively — just enough to keep you in the lead without revealing your full amount.
The current bid shown on each lot reflects all confirmed absentee bids and updates automatically as new bids come in.
When the live auction starts, bidding will begin at the current bid. The auctioneer will continue bidding on behalf of absentee bidders up to their max bids.
Because absentee bids can arrive seconds apart, the current bid you see may not always include bids still being processed. Refresh the page for the most up-to-date information.

Lot 151 - Trio Of Antique Board-Mounted Group Photographs Including Large Gathering With American And British Flags At Arched Pavilion, Elderly Men In Formal Dress, And Generational Family Studio Portrait
Trio of antique board-mounted group photographs. The first depicts a large gathering of men, women, and children posed before an arched pavilion or conservatory, with both American and British Union Jack flags displayed; a faded pencil inscription appears on the mount below the image (14" x 11"). The second shows approximately 16 elderly men in dark suits and bow ties arranged in four rows on steps beneath an arched doorway; the photograph is mounted on a cream-colored board with an arched window mat (8" x 10"). The third is a studio portrait of a generational group: two elderly men seated in chairs, a young man in a suit and bow tie standing behind them, and a baby in a white gown held between the two seated men (8" x 10"). The studio mark is printed at the base of the mount.
The photographs show varying degrees of fading and toning. The first mount exhibits corner losses and soiling. The second mount has a vertical tear through the lower center, significant paper losses along the edges, and overall soiling. The third mount shows edge wear and a small loss at the left edge. The stands visible in the photographs are not included.
