Absentee bids let you place your maximum bid on an item before the live auction begins. During the live show, we’ll continue bidding on your behalf up to your max bid — just like leaving a bid with a traditional auctioneer.
When you place an absentee bid, the system sets the current bid conservatively — just enough to keep you in the lead without revealing your full amount.
The current bid shown on each lot reflects all confirmed absentee bids and updates automatically as new bids come in.
When the live auction starts, bidding will begin at the current bid. The auctioneer will continue bidding on behalf of absentee bidders up to their max bids.
Because absentee bids can arrive seconds apart, the current bid you see may not always include bids still being processed. Refresh the page for the most up-to-date information.

Lot 071 - Trio of Antique Carte De Visite C.D.V. Photographs of Performers and Actresses Including Two Photographed by Mora, Broadway, New York
Trio of antique carte de visite C.D.V. photographs depicting performers and actresses in costume. Two of the three cards bear the Mora studio imprint along the lower edge, photographed by Mora, Broadway, New York. One depicts a young woman in a short costume with floral garlands and a straw hat, holding a small white dog. The second card shows a woman seated on a turned chair draped in floral vines with bare legs and feet. The third card depicts a woman in ornate Eastern-inspired costume and coin-fringed headdress, with no visible photographer imprint.
The reverse of the center card is pencil-inscribed "M. Roze." The remaining two cards have blank backs. The first and third cards are in good condition with mild toning. The center card shows creasing and surface scratches across the image.
