Absentee bids let you place your maximum bid on an item before the live auction begins. During the live show, we’ll continue bidding on your behalf up to your max bid — just like leaving a bid with a traditional auctioneer.
When you place an absentee bid, the system sets the current bid conservatively — just enough to keep you in the lead without revealing your full amount.
The current bid shown on each lot reflects all confirmed absentee bids and updates automatically as new bids come in.
When the live auction starts, bidding will begin at the current bid. The auctioneer will continue bidding on behalf of absentee bidders up to their max bids.
Because absentee bids can arrive seconds apart, the current bid you see may not always include bids still being processed. Refresh the page for the most up-to-date information.

Lot 142 - Trio of Antique Knights Templar Grand Commandery of Massachusetts and Rhode Island Triennial Conclave Enameled Medals Including 26th Conclave Boston 1895 and 28th Conclave 1901
A trio of three antique Knights Templar enameled medals issued for the Grand Commandery of Massachusetts and Rhode Island at Triennial Conclave events.
Two medals share a common form, each with a top bar reading "Grand Com'dy. of Mass. and R.I." above a central medallion depicting a mounted knight, with a dark enameled banner below and a suspended pendant featuring a white enameled Maltese cross with red accents, a blue cross pattee at center, and the letters "G" and "E" flanking, with "Of The" above and "U.S." below, all within a laurel wreath frame. One of these is marked "Boston 1895" for the 26th Triennial Conclave and the other is marked "1901" for the 28th Triennial Conclave.
The third medal, also from the 26th Triennial Conclave in Boston in 1895, features a knight's helmet finial atop a bar with blue enameled shields and the text "Boston" and "1895." The suspended pendant reads "Grand Commandery of Mass. and R.I." around a central white enameled medallion of a mounted knight, surrounded by a red and blue enameled cross design with the letters "K" and "T," and the outer ring reading "Grand Encampment of the U.S."
All three medals show intact enamel with minor wear consistent with age. Pin clasps are present on the reverse of each.
