Lot 050 - Vintage U.S. Military World War I Era Canvas Grenade Vest with 11 Snap-Closure Pouches, Dated 1944
Vintage U.S. military canvas grenade vest in khaki with 11 individual snap-closure pouches arranged in two rows across the front panel. The vest features canvas web tie straps and olive drab webbing reinforcements at the sides, with a metal buckle on the upper right. A green inspection or issue tag is stapled to the reverse, stamped "14," "1944," and "29238 155."
This is a World War I era design that continued in service through World War II. The 1944 date on the tag indicates wartime issue. The canvas is in solid condition with light soiling and mild discoloration. All snap closures are intact and functional. The tie straps and webbing show minor fraying at the ends.
