Illustrated with official photographs including color frontispiece depicting the "Lost Battalion" in Argonne Forest and full-page portrait of General Pershing. Photographs document military mobilization, training, and combat operations in France including the Argonne offensive. Bears previous owner's inscription dated March 5, 1920 on front free endpaper.
