Carved wood panel featuring a relief-carved rotund pirate figure holding a jug, set within an arched frame. A Jolly Roger pirate flag is carved in the upper left corner and a hangman's noose in the upper right. The text "The Bold Buccaneer" is carved along the bottom edge.

The reverse bears a hand-inscribed dedication beneath a drawn umbrella: "In memory of that eventful cruise on the good ship, 'Stand Pat,' from New Haven, Ct. to Mansfield Grove and return. Aug. 1907." The crew is listed as R. H. Hoyt - Captain, N. B. Hoyt - Super Cargo, and J. E. Stannard - Engineer. A secondary inscription below reads: "This is as you would have looked had you made a few similar voyages."

The panel shows overall age-darkened toning across the wood surface, with scattered surface marks and minor wear consistent with age. The carved relief remains well-defined throughout.
