Framed pencil and pastel drawing of an ornamental acanthus scroll panel with medallions, signed and dated "F. E. Fredette, 1900." Fredette operated a monuments and headstones business in Linwood, Massachusetts, specializing in granite and marble work with cemetery lettering, and this drawing represents a decorative carving study related to his trade.

Accompanying the framed drawing are four sheets of unused business letterhead for "F. E. Fredette, Monuments and Headstones in Granite or Marble," with the motto "From a Foundation to a Statue," listing works and residence on Main Street, Linwood, Massachusetts, with a telephone number on the Whitinsville Exchange and a pre-printed date field of "191_."

The frame shows heavy wear with substantial loss to the decorative surface, exposing bare wood across much of the face. The paper shows toning and scattered staining, and the wood backing has partial losses.
