Antique Halloween postcard titled “Jolly Hallowe’en – May the Fates Be Good to You,” depicting a child in an orange witch hat seated beside a black cat and a bubbling cauldron suspended over a campfire beneath a full moon. Grinning cat faces appear in the card’s upper corners. Postmarked Times Square Station, New York, October 16, 1909, and addressed to Mrs. Janet Houck, Harrisonburg, Virginia. Handwritten note on verso reads in part, “How is my dear little girl, mother has not forgotten you…” General wear and tear consistent with age and handling, including light edge and corner wear, mild creasing, and surface soiling. Each postcard includes a poly sleeve and rigid top loader.
