An antique Masonic fraternal collarette sash of black velvet with gold braid trim on the obverse, bearing three applied emblems: a silver eight-pointed star jewel with red enamel center depicting a cross and serpent with the Latin motto "In Hoc Signo Vinces" ("In This Sign You Will Conquer"), a silver Maltese cross jewel, and a black fabric rosette with an applied Square and Compass device. The reverse is of green velvet, bearing an applied red cross in gold-bordered felt with metal hook closures along one edge. The interior bears a woven maker's label reading "The Henderson-Ames Co., Kalamazoo, Michigan, Military and Society Goods," and a name label reading "C.S. Adams."

The sash shows overall wear, soiling, and fading, with significant fading and surface soiling to the green velvet reverse. The gold braid trim shows tarnish.
