This is a police arrest card featuring a mounted photograph depicting William Morrill in profile and frontal views, with Morrill wearing a bowler hat in the frontal photograph. The card includes Bertillon measurements recorded at the Bureau of Identification, Department of Police, Buffalo, New York, on October 24, 1906, by G.J. Jones. Morrill is identified as a "Yegg" in red ink. He is listed as age 34 years, born in England, with blue eyes, light chestnut hair, rugged complexion, weight of 165 pounds, and medium build. The reverse bears printed headings for the Bureau of Identification, Department of Police - Detective Service, registration number 1641, color listed as white. The name is spelled "Morrell" on the reverse. Alias is listed as Fisher, residence as Buffalo, New York, occupation as tinsmith, descent as English. He was arrested on October 23 on suspicion by Officers Byrne and Knapp, and sentenced to four months in the Erie County Penitentiary on October 24, 1906. Marks, scars, and moles include a cut scar on the thumb, a tattoo of a pitcher with flowers below the elbow on the front of the arm, and a bent elbow. Photograph and card show age toning, edge wear, and surface marks consistent with age and handling.
