Absentee bids let you place your maximum bid on an item before the live auction begins. During the live show, we’ll continue bidding on your behalf up to your max bid — just like leaving a bid with a traditional auctioneer.
When you place an absentee bid, the system sets the current bid conservatively — just enough to keep you in the lead without revealing your full amount.
The current bid shown on each lot reflects all confirmed absentee bids and updates automatically as new bids come in.
When the live auction starts, bidding will begin at the current bid. The auctioneer will continue bidding on behalf of absentee bidders up to their max bids.
Because absentee bids can arrive seconds apart, the current bid you see may not always include bids still being processed. Refresh the page for the most up-to-date information.

Lot 168 - Antique Trimmed Real Photo Postcard R.P.P.C.. Of Milford, New Hampshire High School Baseball Team, Early 20th Century
Trimmed real photo postcard showing a posed group portrait of a high school baseball team, almost certainly from Milford, New Hampshire, based on provenance and location where the photograph was found. The image depicts a full team with players holding bats and wearing period athletic uniforms, seated and standing in a studio setting, with a coach or instructor centered in the back row.
Uniform details, equipment, and photographic style suggest an early 20th century date. Several jerseys display block lettering, and the team is shown with wooden bats, high socks, and lace-up shoes typical of the era. The photograph was trimmed from its original postcard format, with visible divided back present.
Condition includes trimming to the edges, light overall toning, and minor surface wear consistent with age and handling. The image remains clear with strong contrast and good facial detail throughout.
