Antique U.S. World War I Victory Medal with double-rainbow silk ribbon and pin-back bar suspension, circa 1919. Authorized by an Act of Congress on February 4, 1919, and designed by James Earle Fraser. The obverse depicts a full-length winged figure of Victory holding a sword and shield. The reverse is inscribed "The Great War for Civilization" around the top, with a central shield bearing the U.S. eagle and fasces, flanked by the names of Allied nations including France, Italy, Serbia, Japan, Montenegro, Russia, Greece, Great Britain, Belgium, Brazil, Portugal, Rumania, and China, with six stars along the lower edge.

The ribbon shows fading and fraying at the edges with some discoloration at the top and bottom folds. The bronze medal has an even patina with light surface scratches.
