Antique State of California wanted circular issued for J. A. Casdorf, identified as a parole violator from San Quentin Prison (No. 36502). Casdorf, a 21-year-old laborer from Illinois, was convicted of “criminal syndicalism” and sentenced to four years, received at San Quentin on June 3, 1922, from Sacramento County, and released on parole December 4, 1923. Description notes dark brown hair, hazel eyes, fair complexion, height 5 ft 7-3/8 in, and weight 130 lbs, with tattoos reading “E” and “Sailor.” Includes mugshot and Bertillon measurements. Issued under Warden James A. Johnston, San Quentin Prison. Reverse stamped “Received by Chief of Police, Mar 6 – 1924.” Light creasing, toning, and handling wear consistent with age. Sold in toploader for preservation.
