This is a wanted poster with photograph issued by the Office of the Chief of Police, Bureau of Identification, for Ben Kripperstein, wanted for felony wife desertion. Dated San Francisco, California, May 7, 1910, signed by J.B. Martin, Chief of Police. Physical description: age 24 years, height five feet nine inches, weight 130 pounds, slim, black hair, dark eyes, smooth shaven, all upper teeth gold, nails on both thumbs disfigured. Occupation listed as shoemaker, with the note that he may be found around shoe factories or small shops. Last seen in the city on April 28, 1910, dressed in a dark brown suit and black derby hat. Instructions state arrest and wire, warrant held for felony. A handwritten annotation along the left side reads "Kripperstein 9/18 - 1910." Printed by Pernau Pub. Co., 423 Hayes St. Poster shows age toning, creasing, edge wear, and handling marks consistent with age and use.
