Grouping of 45 antique printed cigarette tobacco silk premiums housed in plastic trading card pages. The silks span three brands: Zira Cigarettes, Nebo Cigarettes, and Egyptienne Straights Cigarettes, all marked "Factory No. 7, 5th Dist. N.J." The collection includes two series: a flowers and fruits series with color-printed botanical subjects including pineapple, lotus, ox-eye daisy, moccasin flower, crimson rambler, daffodil, jack rose, raspberry, peach, geranium, corn flower, passion flower, wild rose, carnation, strawberry, purple iris, thistle, watermelon, trillium, marigold, clover, sweet pea, bleeding heart, California poppy, tulip, gladiola, rhododendron, maurandia, and purple clematis; and a flags of nations and cities series with subjects including Cape Colony, British North Borneo, Nicaragua, Brunswick, Algiers, Vienna, Hayti, Honduras, Bremen, Montenegro, Havana, Amsterdam, Morocco, Sicily, and Hawaiian Islands.
Conditions vary across the group. The flower and fruit silks generally retain legible printing with light toning and minor fraying at the edges. The flag silks are more fragile, with more pronounced fraying, edge losses, and overall softening of the fabric.
