Absentee bids let you place your maximum bid on an item before the live auction begins. During the live show, we’ll continue bidding on your behalf up to your max bid — just like leaving a bid with a traditional auctioneer.
When you place an absentee bid, the system sets the current bid conservatively — just enough to keep you in the lead without revealing your full amount.
The current bid shown on each lot reflects all confirmed absentee bids and updates automatically as new bids come in.
When the live auction starts, bidding will begin at the current bid. The auctioneer will continue bidding on behalf of absentee bidders up to their max bids.
Because absentee bids can arrive seconds apart, the current bid you see may not always include bids still being processed. Refresh the page for the most up-to-date information.

Lot 112 - Grouping Of 45+ Antique Snapshot Photographs On Loose Album Pages, Circa 1915, Dr. Brown's Adirondack Camp At Lake George, Sag Harbor, Quogue Pond, And Marlboro, New York
A grouping of over 45 antique snapshot photographs mounted on loose black album pages with captions written on masking tape applied to the pages. The photographs date to approximately 1915 and document a range of locations in New York State, with many references to a "Mountain School." Subjects include a view of the Catskill Notch; a cabin identified as "The Mouse Trap" at Mountain School, further described as Dr. Brown's Adirondack Camp at Lake George, New York, with college pennants and cots visible in the interior; a fox in a barrel behind chicken wire identified as Dr. Brown's fur farm; boating scenes at Sag Harbor, Long Island during the summer of 1915; a home in Marlboro, New York identified as the residence of a Misses Wygant; young men on bicycles; a group of people on a horse-drawn cart driven by a farmer; cows around Quogue Pond, Long Island; canoes on Quogue Pond; and winter scenes including a photograph of an Everett MacNair using a box camera. The photographs and pages show wear consistent with age and handling.
