Absentee bids let you place your maximum bid on an item before the live auction begins. During the live show, we’ll continue bidding on your behalf up to your max bid — just like leaving a bid with a traditional auctioneer.
When you place an absentee bid, the system sets the current bid conservatively — just enough to keep you in the lead without revealing your full amount.
The current bid shown on each lot reflects all confirmed absentee bids and updates automatically as new bids come in.
When the live auction starts, bidding will begin at the current bid. The auctioneer will continue bidding on behalf of absentee bidders up to their max bids.
Because absentee bids can arrive seconds apart, the current bid you see may not always include bids still being processed. Refresh the page for the most up-to-date information.

Lot 136 - Grouping Of Antique Lycoming County, Pennsylvania Criminal Court Documents, Commonwealth Vs. William A. Sheehan Involuntary Manslaughter 1920 And Commonwealth Vs. Salvatore Lamanna Et Al. Murder 1914
A grouping of antique criminal court documents from Lycoming County, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, relating to two separate cases.
The first case is Commonwealth vs. William A. Sheehan, who was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in 1920. The charges arose from a collision between a vehicle driven by Sheehan and a bicycle. The documents include witness testimony and appeals for a new trial.
The second case is Commonwealth vs. Salvatore Lamanna, Dominick Saccone, and Costaldo Braffaele, dated 1914. The charges include assault and battery, aggravated assault and battery, and assault and battery with intent to kill, which was later upgraded to second degree murder. The defendants assaulted a Mrs. Mike Mulikage with a shotgun and other firearms. The documents include a felony indictment, with the majority of the documents relating to Lamanna. The documents show wear consistent with age and handling.
