Absentee bids let you place your maximum bid on an item before the live auction begins. During the live show, we’ll continue bidding on your behalf up to your max bid — just like leaving a bid with a traditional auctioneer.
When you place an absentee bid, the system sets the current bid conservatively — just enough to keep you in the lead without revealing your full amount.
The current bid shown on each lot reflects all confirmed absentee bids and updates automatically as new bids come in.
When the live auction starts, bidding will begin at the current bid. The auctioneer will continue bidding on behalf of absentee bidders up to their max bids.
Because absentee bids can arrive seconds apart, the current bid you see may not always include bids still being processed. Refresh the page for the most up-to-date information.

Lot 102 - Grouping Of Eight Antique And Vintage Occupational Photographs Including Five From The Clay-Worker Of Indianapolis, Indiana, Town Talk Bread Bakery, And G. Cammett Storefront
A grouping of eight antique and vintage occupational photographs, seven board-mounted and one unmounted. Five of the board-mounted photographs bear the printed imprint "The Clay-Worker, Indianapolis, Ind." on embossed white mounts and depict scenes associated with the publication, including a group of five men and women posed on the steps of a brick building, a group of seven men and women with a dog on the steps of a similar brick building, an office interior with five men seated among rolltop desks and a door marked "General Manager," two men in an office with a standing desk and swivel chair, and a group of six men and women seated around a dining table. An additional board-mounted photograph on a dark gray embossed mount shows two seated workers in overalls and work shirts. A board-mounted photograph on a cream-colored mount depicts the storefront of G. Cammett, with three men in aprons standing before large arched display windows with draped curtains. The unmounted photograph shows a large group of approximately 45 bakery workers in white uniforms and caps posed in four rows in front of a loading dock, with a sign reading "Ask for Town Talk Bread, Rich in Pure Milk" displayed in the front row. The photographs and mounts exhibit varying degrees of toning, foxing, soiling, creasing, and edge wear throughout.
The listed dimensions are of the largest photo in the grouping.
