Absentee bids let you place your maximum bid on an item before the live auction begins. During the live show, we’ll continue bidding on your behalf up to your max bid — just like leaving a bid with a traditional auctioneer.
When you place an absentee bid, the system sets the current bid conservatively — just enough to keep you in the lead without revealing your full amount.
The current bid shown on each lot reflects all confirmed absentee bids and updates automatically as new bids come in.
When the live auction starts, bidding will begin at the current bid. The auctioneer will continue bidding on behalf of absentee bidders up to their max bids.
Because absentee bids can arrive seconds apart, the current bid you see may not always include bids still being processed. Refresh the page for the most up-to-date information.

Lot 141 - Grouping of Four Antique Knights Templar Enameled Badges and Medals Including Belvidere No. 2, Joseph Warren Commandery No. 26 Boston 35th Triennial Conclave 1922, and Hugh De Payens Commandery Melrose, Massachusetts
A grouping of four antique Knights Templar enameled badges and medals.
The first is a badge marked "Belvidere" on an arched banner at top, with "No." and "2" on flanking ribbon banners. A central banner reads "In Hoc Signo Vinces" above a shield divided into three enameled sections: red with a skull and crossbones, white with a cross, and blue with an eagle atop a crown. The badge is surrounded by a laurel wreath, with "Pro Deo Et Homine" ("For God and Man") along the bottom.
The second is a two-piece medal with a top bar reading "35th Triennial Conclave New Orleans 1922." A suspended cross-form pendant features "Boston" and "Joseph Warren Commandery No. 26" in enameled lettering, with "K" and "T" on the cross arms and crossed swords behind. The enamel is intact with minor wear.
The third is a two-piece medal with a top bar reading "Hugh De Payens Commandery." The suspended pendant is a cross in red and black enamel marked "Saratoga 1907," "30th Triennial," "K T," and "Melrose, Mass." with a central coat of arms and the motto "Forward." Some enamel loss is present on the red areas.
The fourth is a two-piece medal with a top bar reading "Hugh De Payens." The suspended pendant is a cross in black enamel with "K" and "T" in Gothic-style letters, "Commandery" and "Forward" on banners, and "Melrose, Mass." at the bottom. The center features a knight figure above a coat of arms with red and white enamel.
