Absentee bids let you place your maximum bid on an item before the live auction begins. During the live show, we’ll continue bidding on your behalf up to your max bid — just like leaving a bid with a traditional auctioneer.
When you place an absentee bid, the system sets the current bid conservatively — just enough to keep you in the lead without revealing your full amount.
The current bid shown on each lot reflects all confirmed absentee bids and updates automatically as new bids come in.
When the live auction starts, bidding will begin at the current bid. The auctioneer will continue bidding on behalf of absentee bidders up to their max bids.
Because absentee bids can arrive seconds apart, the current bid you see may not always include bids still being processed. Refresh the page for the most up-to-date information.

Lot 075 - Grouping of Four Vintage Postcards of Abraham Lincoln Home, Springfield, Illinois and Lincoln Birthplace, Kentucky Including Dining Room, Front Parlor, Walnut Stairway
This grouping consists of four vintage postcards depicting Abraham Lincoln-related historic sites. Three postcards show interior views of the Lincoln Home in Springfield, Illinois: the dining room with green wallpaper and period furnishings, the front parlor with gold curtains and Victorian furniture, and the original walnut stairway with patterned wallpaper and carpeted stairs. The fourth postcard shows the Lincoln Birthplace cabin displayed within the Lincoln Memorial at the Abraham Lincoln National Historical Park in Hodgenville, Kentucky, depicting a log cabin structure behind protective barriers.
The Springfield home postcards are published by N. H. Shonkweiler Exclusive Distribution, Springfield, Illinois. The reverse of one card provides historical information about the Lincoln Home at Eighth and Jackson Streets, noting it was the only home Lincoln owned and was occupied from 1844 until the family moved to Washington in 1861. The postcards feature standard divided backs with spaces for correspondence and stamps.
