Absentee bids let you place your maximum bid on an item before the live auction begins. During the live show, we’ll continue bidding on your behalf up to your max bid — just like leaving a bid with a traditional auctioneer.
When you place an absentee bid, the system sets the current bid conservatively — just enough to keep you in the lead without revealing your full amount.
The current bid shown on each lot reflects all confirmed absentee bids and updates automatically as new bids come in.
When the live auction starts, bidding will begin at the current bid. The auctioneer will continue bidding on behalf of absentee bidders up to their max bids.
Because absentee bids can arrive seconds apart, the current bid you see may not always include bids still being processed. Refresh the page for the most up-to-date information.

Lot 150 - Grouping Of Six Antique Board-Mounted Photographs Of Men In Social And Leisure Settings, Including Early Automobile Group, City Street Scene With Jackson Sign, Men In Hammock On Porch, And Outdoor Picnic Party
The grouping comprises six antique board-mounted photographs depicting men in casual outdoor and social settings. One photograph shows a group of approximately nine men posed in and around an early open-body automobile stopped in a field, several perched on the body and fenders. A second shows three men in shirtsleeves and suspenders seated and reclining on a grass lawn against the side of a clapboard house. A third depicts a young man in a bowler hat seated on stone entry steps beside a clapboard building. A fourth photograph shows two men on a wide covered porch, one standing and one collapsed sideways in a hammock with legs extended. A fifth shows a group of men gathered on rocky ground for an outdoor meal, food and bottles visible among them, the image significantly faded. The sixth photograph depicts a heavyset man in a boater hat standing in the middle of an unpaved city street, with multi-story brick commercial buildings behind him including a storefront with a partially legible "Jackson" sign, and a bicycle and rider visible in the middle distance. Mounts vary from cream to dark with gilt borders. No photographer markings are visible. The display stand pictured is not included.
