Lot 145 - Grouping of Six Antique Knights Templar Medals Including Trinity Commandery Manchester, New Hampshire, St. John's Day 1915 Providence, Rhode Island, Washington Commandery Boston 1897, and Grand Commandery Massachusetts and Rhode Island 1920
The first is a Trinity Commandery medal from Manchester, New Hampshire, with an ornate bar pin reading "Trinity" at top, chains suspending a Maltese cross with "In Hoc Signo Vinces" on the arms, and a central medallion reading "Commandery Manchester N.H." with a helmeted portrait bust in relief. A small shield charm hangs from the center of the chains. The medal shows overall patina.
The second is a St. John's Day medal dated June 1915, with a banner-form top bar and a wreath-surrounded enameled "In Hoc Signo Vinces" cross pattee device. A round medallion hangs below reading "What Cheer" and "Providence, R.I." with a relief scene. The enamel is intact. The medal shows overall patina.
The third is a Washington Commandery medal dated 1897, with a bar pin reading "Washington Commandery" suspending a Maltese cross with "Boston" and "1897" in relief, centered by a stone tower motif. The medal shows overall patina.
The fourth, fifth, and sixth are three matching Grand Commandery medals dated 1920, each with a top badge reading "Grand Commandery" and "Mass. and R.I." with Knights Templar symbols, chain-linked to a center cartouche flanked by "K" and "T" with an enameled "In Hoc Signo Vinces" cross, and a suspended round medallion reading "What Cheer" and "Providence, R.I." with a relief scene. Two are gold-toned and one is silver-toned. All three show overall patina, with the silver-toned example exhibiting heavier tarnish.
