Antique grouping of two bisque Kewpie dolls. The first doll is marked “KW288” on the underside, posed on its stomach with straight arms supporting its upper body and one leg lifted, mouth in a frowning pout (4-1/2" L x 2-5/8" W x 3-1/2" H). The second doll is flat-bodied with separate bisque arms attached by string, now loosened so the arms hang slightly from the body; arms marked “34,” underside marked “8” (1-3/4" L x 1-1/2" W x 5-3/4" H) Includes an open-weave wicker rocking crib with scroll cut wooden base, tin basket liner, cotton fill, and pleated lace bedding (7" L x 4-3/4" W x 6-1/2" H). No chips found; moderate wear and tear to dolls and crib consistent with age and handling.
