Lot 220 - Trio of Antique and Vintage Commemorative Medallions Including 1934 Chicago Century of Progress Walgreen Drugs, 1939 Dodge Silver Anniversary, and Something Special Scotch Whisky Playing Card Spinner
Trio of antique and vintage commemorative medallions. The group includes a 1934 Chicago Century of Progress World's Fair medal depicting the Federal Building on one side and a Walgreen Drugs storefront with "Chicago" on the reverse; a 1939 Dodge Silver Anniversary medal marked "Dependability A Word A Fact A Tradition" on the obverse and "In Appreciation of the Part You Have Played in the Success of Dodge" on the reverse, struck by John Fay, Detroit, Michigan, housed in a plastic capsule with a hole drilled at top; and a Something Special De Luxe Blended Scotch Whisky medal with "Something Special for Someone Special" on the bottle side and a playing card wheel on the reverse showing all 13 spades radiating from a central ace of spades. All three show general surface wear and toning.
