Absentee bids let you place your maximum bid on an item before the live auction begins. During the live show, we’ll continue bidding on your behalf up to your max bid — just like leaving a bid with a traditional auctioneer.
When you place an absentee bid, the system sets the current bid conservatively — just enough to keep you in the lead without revealing your full amount.
The current bid shown on each lot reflects all confirmed absentee bids and updates automatically as new bids come in.
When the live auction starts, bidding will begin at the current bid. The auctioneer will continue bidding on behalf of absentee bidders up to their max bids.
Because absentee bids can arrive seconds apart, the current bid you see may not always include bids still being processed. Refresh the page for the most up-to-date information.

Lot 146 - Trio Of Antique Board-Mounted Photographs Of Ox-Drawn Wagons With Passengers In Rural Settings, Pencil Inscriptions On Verso
Trio of antique board-mounted photographs, each depicting passengers seated in wagons drawn by oxen in rural settings. Two of the photographs show a single ox hitched to a four-wheeled wagon with a group of women seated inside, a man in a cap standing beside the animal holding a stick, with trees and hills in the background. The third photograph shows a yoked pair of oxen pulling a similar wagon with passengers, a man standing at the rear beside the wheel, and a barn visible in the background. All three photographs are mounted on matching dark gray boards with embossed borders. Various pencil inscriptions appear on the verso of the mounts.
The photographs show overall fading and toning. The mounts exhibit minor edge wear, scuffing, and soiling. The stands visible in the photographs are not included.
