Absentee bids let you place your maximum bid on an item before the live auction begins. During the live show, we’ll continue bidding on your behalf up to your max bid — just like leaving a bid with a traditional auctioneer.
When you place an absentee bid, the system sets the current bid conservatively — just enough to keep you in the lead without revealing your full amount.
The current bid shown on each lot reflects all confirmed absentee bids and updates automatically as new bids come in.
When the live auction starts, bidding will begin at the current bid. The auctioneer will continue bidding on behalf of absentee bidders up to their max bids.
Because absentee bids can arrive seconds apart, the current bid you see may not always include bids still being processed. Refresh the page for the most up-to-date information.

Lot 146 - Trio of Antique Knights Templar Enameled Medals Including Springfield Commandery K.T. Springfield, Massachusetts, St. Andrew No. 13 K.T. Richmond, Virginia, and St. Elmo Commandery No. 65 35th Triennial Conclave New Orleans
A trio of antique Knights Templar enameled medals.
The first is a Springfield Commandery medal with a pin bar featuring cross pattee devices and red enamel crosses. A black enamel banner reads "Non nobis Domine, non nobis, sed nomini tuo da gloriam." Below hangs a white enamel shield reading "In Hoc Signo Vinces" with a red cross at center. A circular pendant is suspended below, marked "Springfield Commandery," "K.T.," and "Springfield, Mass." with a red enameled Maltese cross, crossed swords, and crown at center. The enamel is intact with minor wear.
The second is a St. Andrew Commandery No. 13 medal from Richmond, Virginia. The top bar reads "St. Andrew, Richmond Va., K.T." A star-shaped pendant hangs below with radiating points and four corner squares featuring enameled lions and crosses. The central medallion depicts a figure of St. Andrew holding his cross against a red enameled ground. A blue enameled ring reads "Nemo Me Impune Lacessit - Constituted 1878." The enamel shows scratching and wear to the red center, and the pendant shows overall patina.
The third is a St. Elmo Commandery No. 65 medal from the 35th Triennial Conclave in New Orleans. The top bar features a cross and crown device with banners reading "St. Elmo Comdy. 65" and "35th Triennial Conclave, New Orleans." Chain links suspend a shield-shaped pendant with red enameled ground and a white enameled Maltese cross at center bearing a quartered shield with lions and crosses. The medal shows overall patina and minor enamel wear.
