Absentee bids let you place your maximum bid on an item before the live auction begins. During the live show, we’ll continue bidding on your behalf up to your max bid — just like leaving a bid with a traditional auctioneer.
When you place an absentee bid, the system sets the current bid conservatively — just enough to keep you in the lead without revealing your full amount.
The current bid shown on each lot reflects all confirmed absentee bids and updates automatically as new bids come in.
When the live auction starts, bidding will begin at the current bid. The auctioneer will continue bidding on behalf of absentee bidders up to their max bids.
Because absentee bids can arrive seconds apart, the current bid you see may not always include bids still being processed. Refresh the page for the most up-to-date information.

Lot 088 - Vintage Black And White Tourism Photograph Of Three Tourists On Camels At The Giza Pyramids With Great Sphinx, Egypt, In Modern Frame
Vintage black and white tourism photograph depicting three Western tourists mounted on camels at the Giza pyramid complex in Egypt, accompanied by three Egyptian camel handlers in traditional dress holding the lead ropes. The composition shows the Great Sphinx prominently in the right background, a pyramid in the center distance, and stone ruins on the left. A numbered marker "4" visible on the ground indicates this was taken at a designated tourist photography station, part of organized camel tour services at the site. The photograph appears to date from the 1920s through 1940s based on the tourists' clothing and photographic style. Housed in a modern wood frame with EZ Hang wire system, size 7" x 9", Lambert Product, made in U.S.A. The photograph exhibits age-appropriate wear and the frame shows minor wear from handling.
