Absentee bids let you place your maximum bid on an item before the live auction begins. During the live show, we’ll continue bidding on your behalf up to your max bid — just like leaving a bid with a traditional auctioneer.
When you place an absentee bid, the system sets the current bid conservatively — just enough to keep you in the lead without revealing your full amount.
The current bid shown on each lot reflects all confirmed absentee bids and updates automatically as new bids come in.
When the live auction starts, bidding will begin at the current bid. The auctioneer will continue bidding on behalf of absentee bidders up to their max bids.
Because absentee bids can arrive seconds apart, the current bid you see may not always include bids still being processed. Refresh the page for the most up-to-date information.

Lot 092 - Vintage Photograph Of The Nixon Family, Signed And Inscribed By Patricia And Richard Nixon (Unframed)
Vintage photographic portrait of the Nixon family, signed and inscribed “Best wishes to Mary” with the surname illegible. The inscription and signature by Patricia Nixon are executed in black ink, followed by a signature by Richard Nixon in blue ink. The photograph shows light fading consistent with prolonged exposure. The signatures have not been professionally authenticated and are offered without guarantees; however, they are believed to be genuine based on appearance and context. General wear present throughout, consistent with age, handling, and display.
Note: This lot was originally housed in a period wood frame; however, due to pre-existing structural failure and separation at the joints, the frame sustained additional damage during in-house handling and has been removed. The photograph is now offered unframed.
