Absentee bids let you place your maximum bid on an item before the live auction begins. During the live show, we’ll continue bidding on your behalf up to your max bid — just like leaving a bid with a traditional auctioneer.
When you place an absentee bid, the system sets the current bid conservatively — just enough to keep you in the lead without revealing your full amount.
The current bid shown on each lot reflects all confirmed absentee bids and updates automatically as new bids come in.
When the live auction starts, bidding will begin at the current bid. The auctioneer will continue bidding on behalf of absentee bidders up to their max bids.
Because absentee bids can arrive seconds apart, the current bid you see may not always include bids still being processed. Refresh the page for the most up-to-date information.

Lot 020 - Vintage Unglazed Ceramic Greenman Wall Plaque With Relief Face Blowing Over Pair Of Hands, Cold-Painted Surface, Marked "B P" On Verso, 13-3/4" Diameter
Vintage unglazed ceramic wall plaque depicting a relief Greenman face with lips pursed in a blowing gesture, an opening at the mouth allowing light to pass through from the reverse. The face is surrounded by radiating hair resembling rays of the sun or a lion’s mane. Below, a separately formed pair of hands, palms upward, appear to hold or receive the air being blown. Constructed of two joined ceramic sections with slight intentional gapping between elements. The surface shows hand-applied pink and green-gray pigment over the raw ceramic, consistent with cold-painted finish, with scattered remnants of other color and traces of intentional patination. Reverse side designed for wall mounting. Marked with a roughly incised “BP” or similar novice maker’s mark. Exhibits wear consistent with age and handling. Stand not included.
